The only reason that I have it in the first place is that I wanted to use it to mask areas within a painting (without using masking fluid) just having tried it out yet. One of the reasons that I’m not as fond of the “Frog” tape or the blue (Painters”) tape is the color it might just be me but I find having colored tape is a distraction. I’m careful about that ANYWAY regardless of the brand. I’ve never had any problems with taking it off as long as I’m careful and pull AWAY from the paper (and you can always heat it gently with a hair dryer to help it unstick). Seems like just when you’ve found something that works perfectly, a company just HAS to change it….aargh! (have found that to be true with other “products” also)

If it’s any consolation, I have also noticed that the tape isn’t sticking the same on my masonite boards It also doesn’t seem to stick as well on my “Gator” board either–noticed it quite awhile ago and was NOT too happy about it (and that’s even with the “Duck” brand…). Not sure where I got the “Duck” brand (or “Tartan” either)–think it was a “Home Depot”/”Lowe’s” type of place but it might be at Walmart/Target too.

The best masking tape that I’ve found is the “Duck” brand tape. I have some of that “Frog” tape–haven’t used it yet though.
